Gordon United Methodist pastor, Rev. Vance Ross has witnessed first hand how poverty and the lack of educational opportunities in the communities that surround his Nashville, Tenn., church feed the cradle to prison pipeline.

In this moving video interview, Rev. Ross shares how “we the Church are responsible for kids being in prison … for kids losing their father … for a woman losing her mate,” and how we as Christians are called to minister to people and communities who know the struggles of mass incarceration system.
